Why Do People Divorce Easily Nowadays?

When you just got married, everything seemed beautiful and you wondered how come other people could consider about divorce. You believed that your marriage would last forever and your spouse was the only one whom you would spend the rest of your life with. For whatever reason, right now you cannot stand your spouse anymore, the same person whom you loved unconditionally when you just got married. You find that your spouse habits are annoying and even nauseous for you. You cannot stand this any longer and decide to get out of your marriage and arrange for a divorce.

The increase of divorce rate

Perhaps you have noticed that divorce rate has increased steadily over the years. It seems that people do not consider marriage as a sacred vow again. Have people really changed and where is that old culture where people stayed married until death do they part? Why is it very easy for these younger generations to consider a divorce? The divorce rate is getting close to fifty percent and the trend keeps going up. There are several reasons that cause this situation.

The most obvious reason is that now we live in a different world than our grandparents have lived before. People are taught to be independent and freedom is the right of every person. People have become selfish due to these new teaching. Furthermore, daily problems have become much more complex nowadays. Stress and pressure have become daily doses that can strain marriages. People are losing their old norms and they only think about themselves. The level of temptation is also much higher these days. Porn is easily accessible and clothing design has changed considerably. Now it is normal to show beautiful and sexy parts of your body. No wonder that many people are trapped by these temptations.

However, the biggest reason of rising divorce rate is the simplicity of divorce process. You can easily find billboards about lawyers who can help people get out of their marriages. There was even one advertisement that said, "Life is too short. Get a divorce." This shows how the world that we live in has changed radically. Marriage is not sacred anymore and one time marriage is an outdated concept. Do you have to follow this negative trend? The answer is definitely a big NO. You are a human being that can choose and make a wise decision. You can control yourself and you have to stay committed on your vow when you got married. Remember how you loved your spouse at that time. Find that first love because the feeling is still there, deep inside your heart.
